Read moreIn-person classes for children have resumed!
Recently, the Government of Alberta announced that in-person children’s sports activities can resume with up to 10 people per class, including instructors. We’d like to update parents and families on how Red Phoenix Tae Kwon Do will continue to support the safety of students, families, and instructors.
This is exciting news and we are happy to be back on the path of seeing everyone face-to-face again. We also want to make sure that students and instructors stay safe as in-person classes resume.
Starting Monday, February 8, 2021, in-person classes for children will resume. We’ll continue to offer an online children’s class in conjunction with the online Family class from 6:15 - 7:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
Until Step 2 is announced and in-person adult group classes can resume, Family classes will continue to be offered online or in household groups scheduled with Master Cha. Classes for adults will also remain online at 7:00 - 7:45 p.m. or scheduled as one-on-one classes with Master Cha on Monday - Thursday 7:45 - 8:30 p.m., Friday evenings (on non-promotion test days), Saturdays 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. or during weekdays 9:00 am - 3:00 p.m.
In the Fall, all students attending in-person classes successfully wore masks during training, so we’ll continue that practice to keep everyone safe and comfortable. Master Cha ordered plastic frames for inside your mask from Korea and has one available for each student, if you’re interested.
We’re also going to follow the same pick-up and drop-off practices to minimize the number of people in the do-jang. In addition, we are unable to have spectators watching the classes inside the do-jang.
We’ll also continue with the regular sanitizing of the training area, equipment, and shared spaces that we initiated in September.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
